Pray for all People
In this sermon, Pastor Gary Pierce emphasizes the importance of praying for all people, including those in authority. In the series"Gospel Centered Godliness" in 1 Timothy, he focuses on the central theme of the call to godliness, which is rooted in the Gospel. The congregation is encouraged to pray for leaders and authorities, with the hope that their leadership will allow Christians to live godly lives and spread the Gospel message. The passage from 1 Timothy 2:1-7 is discussed, highlighting the need to pray for all people, the desire for all to be saved, and the unique role of Jesus as the mediator between God and humanity. The congregation engages in a 20-minute prayer session, focusing on various groups of leaders and authorities. The sermon concludes with an invitation to respond to the Gospel message by trusting in Jesus and making Him the center of one's life.
